After Brunei Darussalam, Australia & New Zealand, Indonesia hosted Invest Jakarta 2008 on 23rd October 2008. Held in Jakarta, the event was officially opened by Vice Governor of Jakarta Provincial Government. Opportunities in investing in Jakarta was elaborated in this half day seminar by Chairman of Jakarta Investment Board, Legal Expert, Vice Director of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, Director of PT KBN (Persero) & President Director of PT Bank DKI and got insightful respond from the participants.
Jakarta Investment Board was honored to welcome distinguished guests Australia Ambassador H.E. William John Farmer, Brunei Ambassador H.E. Pehin Datu Harimaupadang Dato Paduka Seri Haji Husin Bin Ahmad, Malaysia Ambassador H.E. Background
Invest Jakarta 2008 is a forum organized by the Jakarta Investment Board. Participants will gain the latest information on investment potentials of the Jakarta area. The speakers are not only government officials but also successful Jakarta businesses looking for opportunities to partner with foreign direct investors. In addition to provide comprehensive information concerning investment opportunities, the forum also offers the chance to meet with those companies, i.e. property, banking, industrial estate and entertainment resort, on one-on-one basis.

Chairman of Jakarta Investment Board (BPM PKUD DKI Jakarta)

Appointed as Chairman of Jakarta Investment Board (BPM PKUD DKI Jakarta) in April 2008. Formerly, he was the Chief Bureau Economics Administration, Regional Sector, DKI Jakarta Province

Ari Ahmad Effendi, S.H., LLM
Legal Expert, of William, Effendi & Co.

Graduated from Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia, he is now active as lawyer with specialisation in Bankruptcy, Banking, Corporate Finance, Capital Market, Domestic and Foreign Investment, Labor, Property Law, Building and Construction Law, Corporate Restructure, International Trade Transaction, Infrastructure and Project Financing.

Winny E. Hassan
President Director Bank DKI

Winny E. Hassan held the position of President Director of Bank DKI since January 13, 2006. She is a self-taught person whose knowledge of banking was acquired through experience from the start of her career in 1974 at Bank Niaga. Before Bank DKI, she was President Director of Bank Bumiputera

Holding his current position since 2003. Formerly he was the Technical & Development Director (2001-2003). In 2005 he was appointed by the Governor of Jakarta as Chairman to PT Karya Citra Nusantara, subsidiary of KBN. He is a Phd candidate at Institut Pertanian Bogor, Indonesia.

PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol is an integrated tourism area at DKI Jakarta province and having a bright prospect to to improve the business to become the biggest Integrated Tourism area in South-east Asia. The company performs the inventory land bank policy by increasing land assets through reclamation and land deliverance which was expected to give positive impact for the company business.
 
PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara
PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara has core business in managing integrated industrial zones with bonded zone status (export processing zone/EPZ) and a non-bonded zone (General Industrial Zone), as well as logistics service covering transportation, warehousing and Door to Door Logistics service around the world. In the near future KBN will develop an industrial area with an extent of 90.5 ha as an integrated industrial estate.
 
PT Bank DKI
Bank DKI was established in 1962 as a Provincial Government-Owned Company of DKI Jakarta. The bank engaged in the banking general activities and have a license to conduct its activities as a foreign exchange bank. In 2007 the bank posted a net income of Rp. 72.4 billion on total net interest income of Rp. 671.8 billion.
